Please Note: This game is designed to take advantage of 3-D Cards for higher framerates at the highest detail levels, in order to accommodate lower speed machines without 3-D cards users should lower the detail, texture filtering and screen resolutions. **************************************************************** Graphics Configuration **************************************************************** When run, Fun Pack 3-D will automatically detect what 3D hardware you have available and configure itself for optimum performance on your machine. Note that you MUST have the latest version of the drivers for your 3D card, or Fun Pack 3-D may fail to work properly. 3DFX drivers can be downloaded from http://www.3dfx.com/. Other Drivers can be downloaded from your 3-D card manufacturer. Note that versions of Windows 95 before OSR 2.1 do not properly support AGP, so you may not achieve optimum performance on an AGP Direct 3D card if you have an earlier version of Windows 95. If you have no 3D accelerator cards installed in your machine Fun Pack 3-D will default to software rendering. Once the game has initialized and selected its default graphics driver, you can change the graphics driver between what is available in your system from within the game. **************************************************************** How to play the games **************************************************************** Main Menu: Select the game you wish to play using the previous and next buttons, or by clicking on the icon for your chosen game. If you have a problem, try updating your display drivers first. You can usually obtain the latest drivers from your 3d-card vendor's web page or by contacting their technical support directly. Also ensure that you have the latest version of DirectX 6, which comes with this program. DirectX 6 can be installed by double clicking on the Install DirectX 6 icon that appears in the root of the Fun Pack 3-D CD. If either of those don't solve the issue, read on. - The setup doesn't seem to find my 3-D card. This is probably because you have out of date drivers, or do not have direct X 6 installed on your computer. If you are certain you have the latest version of both, then your video card is unsupported, and you can only play the games in software render mode. - I have two 3d cards in my machine, how do I select between them? After running Fun Pack 3-D, go into the 'Options' menu, and then select the card you want to use from the Video Card menu. Note that if your 3d card doesn't have the required features, you won't be able to select it. - The game runs too slowly. What do I do? After running Fun Pack 3-D, go into the 'Options' menu, then select a lower resolution, and try again. Setting detail and texture filtering to lower quality will also drastically increase speeds on slower machines. - The game appears with only grey blocks where the art should be, what's wrong? The graphics settings are set too high for your video card/monitor combination. Try lowering the texture filtering to fast. If that does not work, lower the resolution. **************************************************************** Fun Pack 3-D (c) 1998 WayForward Technologies. All Rights Reserved.
